Ed Rogers
Vice President/Sales Manager
Ed began his career with his brother John S. Rogers in 1975 as a shingle installer. Prior to that he was in the United States Marine Corp for four years. Both Ed and John prided themselves as the "fastest roofers around". After 20 years of installing roofs, Ed became an estimator. As he grew with the company, Ed decided to enroll in one of the very first Sales Boot Camps. For the last 7 years, Ed has sold between $1-1.5 million worth of work and he does this while holding down a full time job with the Chicago Fire Department. In 2007, to improve our company's bottom line and revenue, Ed took on the additional title of Sales Manager. Over the past year, Ed has achieved some of these outstanding results:
- Hired and trained 4 new salesmen
- Set and conducted weekly sales meeting. These meetings are used to discuss sales issues, address problems brainstorm ideas, talk about results and lost opportunities.
- Ed Motivates. He will call, e-mail or see his salesmen daily. For nothing more than to see how things are going to to keep them in a positive frame of mind.
- Sent in sales reports to Certified Contractor's Network (CCN). Every week since January 1, 2008 one of his salesmen has been in the top 3 for their category.
On top of being a great sales manager, Ed still sells. He has taken Rogers Roofing's sales team to levels that we could only dream of a few years ago.

Jon started as a laborer on a roofing crew and within 3 years worked his way up to a foreman. As our company began to grow, we needed to bring in another production manager and Jon was the obvious choice. Some of his duties are: scheduling jobs (sometimes for 14 or more crews), ordering materials, job costing all of our jobs for our TQM meetings, gathering permits, closing our jobs and collecting receivables, loading trucks in the morning and unloading in the afternoon. Jon's loyalty is second to none. He is part of our Management Team and helps with the planning of our company's future. There is a sign that hangs behind his desk that sums up Jon, "Teamwork makes the Dream Work." He knows the importance of being a great team player and he wants all of his men to live it like he does.

Dave Flores
Production Manager
Employed with Rogers Roofing since 1998
During Dave's first month with Rogers Roofing, he fell off two stories from a roof. He broke his wrist and fractured his pelvis. It was not the way that we wanted his career to start. He came back 9 months later as an installer on a roofing crew. You never know how much knowledge David has because he was not the kind of person who talked a lot. But when you watched him install roofs, there was nobody better. We soon realized that he knew way more than the foreman we had running the job. Soon David had his own crew to run. Along with his brother Sal, they formed a crew that did every tough, impossible, demanding job that we could sell. David has always maintained the best way to learn is by doing. Every day he watches and teaches his men. It is almost like a classroom on a roof. He never expects anything but his men's best. Dave has also become the flat roof expert in our company. If any of our sales people have questions about flat roofs, David is always the one everyone looks for. He consistently brings in checks and receives many compliments from the customers he does work for. David has also led our company in change orders the last 2 years.
What do you like about working for Rogers Roofing? "I like the fact that we are always trying to improve ourselves."
